    Shawn Labadie Biography

    Shawn Labadie currently holds a 3rd degree black belt rank in the Universal Taekwondo Association, the Masters Catron’s first student to start at white belt and earn a 3rd degree black belt. Mr. Labadie currently teaches classes Friday evenings from 6:30-7:30.

    Mr. Labadie is a latecomer to martial arts beginning his career at the age of 30. He has competed in many local and regional tournaments including the Cornhusker State Games every year since 2003 earning several bronze, silver, and gold medals. The 2010 Cornhusker State Games marked a high point in his career. Mr. Labadie won gold in both forms and sparring competitions and took home the Grand Champion trophy for forms.

    Mr. Labadie has studied Hapkido techniques under the direction of Shin Koo Hapkido instructor, Josh Cather, to broaden his knowledge of martial arts.

    Mr. Labadie currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska where he owns his own marketing and communications business. He is married with four children and is involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a den leader in a local Cub Scout pack.
